Privacy policy

The Nukit FilterBoxBuilder is a free, browser-based tool, and it is built to need as little of your data as possible. It runs entirely on your own device, sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising, and stores nothing about you on any server.

The short version

  • The builder runs entirely in your browser. Every calculation happens on your device.
  • No cookies. No analytics. No advertising, fingerprinting, or tracking of any kind.
  • No account, no sign-up, and no email is required to use it.
  • Your design is not saved on any server. It lives only in your browser and, if you choose, in a link you can share.
  • Because the builder sets no cookies, there is no cookie banner to click through.

Your inputs and designs

The values you enter, such as room size and fan choice, are processed in your browser to produce the results. They are not transmitted to us and are not stored on our servers.

So that you can bookmark or share a configuration, the builder encodes your current settings into the page address (the URL). That link contains only design parameters, nothing personal, and it is built on your own device. If you send the link to someone, they can open the same design; that is the point of sharing it.

Close the tab or clear the page and nothing about your session remains on our side, because none was kept.

A few pages include third-party content

The core builder pulls in nothing from third parties. Two other pages do, and only when you use them:

  • Contact page. If you send us a message, the form is delivered by a service called FormSubmit. The details you type, meaning your email address, your message, and any file you attach, pass through FormSubmit so that your message reaches us and we can reply. FormSubmit shows a spam check (reCAPTCHA) when you submit. Please do not include sensitive information you would not put in an ordinary email.
  • Air-changes calculator page. That page embeds a YouTube video in YouTube's privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) mode, and it loads only when you scroll down to it. YouTube (Google) sets no cookies unless you press play; if you do play it, Google receives that request under its own privacy policy. Nothing else in the builder uses YouTube.
  • Reference and product links. Pages link out to sources and suppliers, for example Wikipedia, the CDC, GitHub, and Amazon. Following a link takes you to that third party, which has its own privacy policy.

GDPR and similar laws

Because the builder collects no personal data, there is essentially nothing for us to hold, correct, export, or erase about your use of it, and no lawful basis is needed for processing that simply does not take place.

If you have emailed us or used the contact form, we keep that correspondence only for as long as we need it to help you, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. The lawful basis for handling a message you send us is your consent, together with our legitimate interest in replying to you.

To make a request, or to ask anything about this policy, please use the Contact page.
